Just built this up with all my tatty old bits off my Ferrous . Nice and slack but still climbs really well (only had one short night ride on it so far), but off to the FOD on the weekend to give it a good long ride. Never been to the Alps, just wanted something to make the local descents less scary! And yes I know, nothings matches or lines up on the bike, and the hedge is well dead.

I simply LOVE the corrugated iron fence and the broken bits of kerb stone things on the floor.
Oh, and your definition of 'tatty old bits' is clearly a million miles away from mine 😉

Sooooooo many kinds of wrong...

Bikes should be run with the same size wheels at both ends I'm afraid, whatever size they be.

Shame, as it's all bloody nice kit (especially the frame!) in isolation!

XTR chainset - third hand, donated by a friend
XO rear mech - bent in every plane, but still shifts fine, also donated
Brakes - Hope mini levers with an M4 caliper on the front and a Avid Juicy on the rear (which works just fine)
OEM pedals
£20 Gusset seat
Shifters are a 2006 X9 front with a Deore front, both cast offs
rear tyre was £10 at this years OSMM
King headset on loan until further notice

I have been very lucky and have some very generous friends...

What is it with this odd wheel thing ?is it for people who didn,t totally buy into everything the 29er brochure said.Or did you bend a wheel and not have the right size spare?
