She bought a Liv Pique over the summer and she has decided its too small (size XL). Is there anywhere which sells these frames alone? Is it worth asking Giant if they would supply a frame only? She doesnt really want to buy a new bike but i think that'll be the last option if all else fails. Winstanleys said they couldn't help.
Is it really too small? Can it be tweeked with a longer stem, moving the saddle back, etc?
Winstanleys said they couldn’t help, Why? How tall is she?

😀
Does it have to be the same frame if you're going to have to shell out for it anyway?
Winstanleys said that the solution is to purchase a new bike. Id rather not at this point, id rather try and find a larger frame and sell the current frame - i assume this will be cheaper than a new bike
far cheaper to change the girlfriend
Easier too
Give her one of your bikes!
Your scared of your girlfriend 😉 Run away !!!!
If she's already on the largest size then I'm not sure what you want Giant to supply? Is she is indeed 7'2" then blokes bikes are the way to go
Buy a carbon frome from eXotic Carbon, transfer all the bits over then sell her frame to raise cash.
Build her one out of some scaffolding poles
she has decided its too small
Is this based in fact or just her opinion? Outcome likely to be similar if her mind is made up, but beware!
Giant frame only will be expensive and no one is going to want an xl women’s frame.
Sell bike, buy gentleman’s bike of correct size in the sales. Cheapest way I think you’ll do it.
Or you try and find a second hand cheap frame but the problem with that is a. Standards, it’s unlikely to be a straight swap for all the parts, and b. It might not fit anyway if you can’t test it first.
According to the Giant website that bike only goes up to M so I reckon OP has made a comedy typo! 🙂 unless his girlfriend really is 7'+ in which case one of these like Shaq's. It looks normal as it has 36" wheels!!
Haha. Yes. Comedy typo. Should have said size XS
Too many bike shops sell you what they have in stock rather than what fits you.
The irony of bike being made by Giant being too small, even when XL size!
You should be able to make an XS size frame fit to a S, just look for a longer seatpost and stem. I rode a S defy with a 130 mm stem for a winter with no issues. Front end will be a little lower than had you gone up a size, but a flipped stem can help with that too.
How tall is she? We've had XS Avail and Talon bikes and they were adjustable with longer seatpost as my teen hit the milk!
BTW - if you do sell, then XS bikes are easy to move on. Giant only make a limited number per year, and they sell out easily. Don't split it.
She's your girlfriend not your wife. Get a new girlfriend that fits the bike.

There is a big market for XS frames and bikes - mrs_oab is a lofty 5' tall, and needs weeny frames. We have always struggled to get them, and when we sold have moved them on really easily and at good prices.
Can you look at a frame swap up to a small or medium?
Have you looked at this from Giant on sizing?
We need photos.
Ok, here is a small Giant.
