Yesterday after work, the song is Steal Softly Thru Snow by Captain Beefheart. I'm riding at Wild Park in Brighton, taking one of the easier lines down from the top.

Not my best riding, not my worst; just having fun on a bike 😀

rather foolishly I decided to go out tonight and shall be avoiding there and Stanmer due to my wet roots fear.

I think you got the best of the weather and nice little video 🙂

Might have it set on r4 (920def?) setting for a better, taller chesty mounted view.

Cheers, it's a 960 on the taller view as Billy said. wwaswas did you get out on Monday? Stanmer had soft ground as well as dry roots! A mate and I took some atrocious night ride footage which just looks like a white circle, trees and the sound of panting in the background...it's not going on vimeo.

Beefheart is an acquired taste. It's intricate and all correctly in time as well as being frequently atonal. I thought it was just audible mess when I first heard him, now his work is some of my favourite music.

The first song choice was Come to Daddy, it kind of worked with the shakiness and constant tree dodging. Mrs Shake thought I was trying to make my vid more extreme so I changed plan 😳

no, was at Stanmer on Sunday though and it was pretty good. Still a bit squishy in places so I'll probably give it a miss again for a week or two to try and keep the erosion on the main trails down.

I thought 720p was 170° FOV and 1080p was 127° FOV.

You seem to turn the bars when cornering rather than leaning the bike.

No offence, just saying.

Interesting point about the bars, I think you're right! Regardless of what the footage is like I find watching the vids after a session to be helping my technique a little.

I'll admit I'm a little reluctant to lean on corners, the lower section hasn't been ridden in much and the ground is soft... and I was tired....and etc etc etc 😉 I'm part worried about slipping out (fnarr fnarr) and partly worried about not being set up for whatever's after the corner.

The setting is r3 960p 4:3 HD, the bit of paper suggests it for chesty filming. I don't know whether this is what the software has kept it at.

nice to see someone else riding the dual lines we built a few years ago. kinda been forgotten. i`m gonna do some new digging on these i think. i was looking at how to extend them above where they start by the jumps to a whole new line from the dew pond its definatly a go-er. i need to buy a rake though.

not so keen on the cut thu's between lines as it makes following a specific trail a nightmare at night.

the right hander, that you ride past, around the old wallride/burnt tree is super off camber foot out drifty loamy fun.

do yo have to ride down the steps? asking for walker/dog trouble. i admit the other drop outs arnt great though.

I do like a bit of Waits, cheers for the feedback! I was quite reluctant to post, I expected quite a different response. Especially due to the needlessly slow turn into the lower section (lost track of which way to go 😳 ), general wobbliness and comedy landing on the tabletop.

Van Halen, let me know if you want a hand with some digging/raking etc. I may be able to rope others in too. I notice there's a bit of a jump in trail difficulty at WP. It's either small kickers and flowy fun or fairly committed obstacles which I am nowhere near ready for. Something between that would be amazing! My email's shameer AT gmx.co.uk

I know what you mean about the steps....but it's fun! Ok, ok, I'll take the right hander before it next time.

Scott, what settings? My night vids have been awful 🙁 I'm only riding with one DX light on the noggin though, this may be why. Post yours up too!

The picture's really clear in the illuminated area. Where is that? It looks like a good mix of quick and flowy.

Must resist urge to upgrade!
