Thought I'd share some pics of my stomping ground too.

The fatty's man down now. Bent the mech hanger and guess what, there's none in stock. Horrible creak coming from the BB too so that will need sorting.

What a cracking weekend for riding! 8)

I had a lot of creaking coming from my bb area a few weeks ago....in haste I just bought a bb ...then went to fit it and found the cranks were loose ....so check that first and torque it up ...I think these bike were built in a rush ....I've had to go through most of it tightening bits up..

I'm not sure TBH. Is there a way to find out if they are a generic hanger? I've emailed OO re availability, not holding my breath!

I had the creaking on the ride before yesterday's, I tightened up the cranks and the chainring bolts but it was still at it.

Seeing as it's in a bit of a sorry state now I will strip it down and give it the once over.

Just look online - wheels manufacturing do most.

You can just straighten it in the interim, it's a myth that you shouldn't do that

Yeah. You know the area then?

Al, I will straighten it for the mean time. I will buy a spare though.

Fatty hanger is pretty unusual; I couldn't find one from Wheels Mfg or derailleurhanger.com when I looked about 6 months ago. So I ordered a spare from On-One; and I needed it a few weeks later! 😳 So I ordered yet another. I always keep spares in my camelbak!

Not as well as I wish!

The Carneddau has some amazing riding and, as others say, is lovely and 'quiet'. I usually manage a couple of visits each year! 🙂

That's a big bloody hole.
That picture really doesn't do it justice.

It is pretty big, the wind was blowing some so didnt want to get too close to the edge!

It is quiet up there, just wild horses and sheep most of the time.
