The forum usually seems pretty well split between Hope hubs and DT 350 so thought I'd see what the other side is like in my next wheel. However, I don't seem to be able to find the DT hub I want where as the Hope version would be easy to source

12 x 142mm

Classic (J-bend)

6 bolt

Micro Spline

28 hole (may settle for 32 hole)

I'd also prefer 36 PoE over 18.

I know it can be built, but that then makes it significantly more expensive than the Hope Pro5

Madison don't bring in microspline versions but if you want I can make you a hub to your spec for a decent price. Msg me if you want a price. The base hub is on special at Madison right now so I expect it will be very competitive even with the mods.

Probably because MTB's with 142 back ends all long pre-date Microspline so there's going to be very little demand for non-boost hubs with that freehub.

My mate had a similar issue where his exact mix of requirements wasn't available, his LBS rang up Madison and they swapped the freehub over FOC for them to get him the hub he wanted.

All new 350's are 36 tooth as standard so that hopefully shouldn't be an issue.

Thanks both.

The odd size requirement is for a gravel bike with GRX 1x12. (10-51)

I've already got some nice Hope floating rotors on there so don't see any benefit in replacing these.

Interesting about them all being 36T now. I thought the centre locks were still 18T for the roadie brethren.

Is it fair to say that the 6 bolt offer more shielding to the bearings than centre locks or is that just Hope?

I'd like the 54T but I'm guessing that is only via an upgrade kit anyway, not an option on new hubs.

Correct. Yes it's odd you cant get the MS version given how gravel has taken off. I had the same issue building wheels for Jr.

Like I say though, good time to buy!
