You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
You may have seen this from the great wilderness thread, where some of you made nice comments - but I thought I'd offer it to the general audience too.
Please have a looksee at my new blog and feel free to offer your feedback. I know I can trust you lot to speak your minds...
It's my first full website build (used wordpress) so I've been teaching myself that side of things - its been a steep learning curve. Thanks to those on here who recommended TSO Host BTW, great service from them.
If you like it, please hit the FB "like" button and/or follow on Twitter so that you get updates of fresh content. Building an audience is the hard bit and I'd be grateful for any help sharing it.
🙂
Well I'm not your target market TBH, but had a flick through and was interested enough from what I saw to actually read through some of the content!
I like your writing style and the layout - if I was to offer a suggestion, it would be just a little less on the preamble.
Can't like/follow or *share* I'm afraid, but good luck fella.
Nice job.
Bookmarked.

Thanks for taking the time to check it out. I'm not sure I have a target market as such, just writing about what I've been doing and using.
About the preambling - I hear what you're saying - though I'm no Steve Jones in those stakes.
I'm actually a pretty economical writer normally (I do it for a living), but I'm exploring a new format here and trying to give it a more personal touch than something like Bikeradar, for example. Probably need a bit more QC still TBH.
Nice job.

Cheers.
I enjoyed both articles I read - wilderness and gisburn coaching one.
I liked the writing style& layout tbh. self depreciating is always a winner with me. fairplay to you.
You'll be having a forum next.... 😉
I also don't do faceache or ****ter ...I'll book mark it for lateshift.

Gracias Senor, there's a fine line between self-depreciation and just sounding like you have an inferiority complex. I think I got it right on those two from the feedback I've had but some magazine features and particularly books overdo it a bit IMO.

If I'm being honest, you'd stop using "to be honest" 🙂
I like your writing style, light but informative, and I hope that you don't run out of material
As above, I don't do FB, etc.
Read a couple of bits and stopped. But in a good way, added to reading list for the train down to the challenge cup final today.
Not really interested in reviews, but enjoyed the articles. Writing style is easy to read and engaging. I've bookmarked it to read again. Good effort, it's hard work a) thinking of stuff to write that'll be interesting and b) finding the time to do it. I wouldn't worry if you don't build a big audience - all the stuff I've written (except for the mags) is because I want to write. If anybody reads it, that's a bonus 🙂
Great job, I really enjoyed reading it. Keep it coming!
That's a good read, and it looks good.
You've got some interesting followers on twitter 😀

Busted.

Blimey, so I have. Didn't get notifications for those so I guess it knows they are spam, rather than actual young ladies with no clothes on.

Good advice for sure, however I'm also trying to use it to sharpen my social media marketing skills.
