I've been using Spotify for the last 3 years and am happy with it, but is there something I am missing out on by being with Amazon, Apple or Deezer?

Think it comes down to which phone you have and your tribe, I have an iPhone and use Apple Music, but I didnt have a streaming service before this, I used to play downloaded music via the app and Apple Music works using the same app.

I’ve been a Spotify user for a good few years. I did move to Tidal, I’m not an audiophile so didn’t really notice the sound quality difference.
I found that for my way of listening to music Spotify is probably the best app. I tend to just play playlists, for use when walking the dog, driving and on the turbo. Tidal had a lot less playlists, so you’d have to create your own. If you have specific albums to play then Tidal would work fine.
I’ve not looked into this for a few years so things may have changed.

Same for me, they suckered me in with a 3 month free trial and I've never left. In fairness it's completely changed how I listen to music, I listen to so different stuff now, of course that's true of any streaming platform.

Another good selling point for me was the Family plan, £15 a month does me, my Wife and our eldest.

After trying Spotify, Deezer, Tidal and YouTube music over the last year Spotify easily wins it. Tidal is great for sound quality, Deezer is ok and YouTube music is a bit of a mess but Spotify just has more and does it better.

I recently moved to Spotify Premium after Google announced they were discontinuing Google Music and tried to push everyone on to YouTube Premium. I didn't get on with YT Music. Spotify seems ok, I love going down a rabbit hole with playlist and finding new songs/artist I've never heard of. Like Google Music, Spotify integrates nicely with my Google smart speaker things.
I've tried Apple Music and Amazon Music. Didn't like either of them, but that's just personal preference. It's like the iOS Vs Android debate. All are probably as good as each other, it just depends which one you're used to. Content wise I had some obscure songs on Google Music and they're available on Spotify, I assume they'd be on Apple Music or the Prime Premium too.

I use all Apple devices but use Spotify as it just seems a lot easier to use. And to my ears the sound quality was better than Apple Music. Spotify Family Plan for the win.

Spotify's the daddy these days - the amount of music that's on other platforms but not Spotify is coming down, and with podcasts and now lyric search, Spotify pretty much has you covered for everything you need.

I was on Apple Music and really liked it, but I got a Garmin watch that was compatible with Spotify and not Apple Music and I’ve got music on it for running / commuting with. It syncs to Bluetooth headphones and I therefore don’t need a phone with me for either of those activities.

I actually preferred Apple Music to Spotify (I’m on iPhone), but as usual Apple try to bully everyone else out of stuff and clearly didn’t want to work with Garmin.

A similar example is I have a Mac Mini (got to try out Apple as I had so many issues with slow running / updating of my windows based laptop) and it wouldn’t recognise and of the android phones I had. It’s like they’d deliberately designed it to ignore them - so I had to use a 3rd party app on it to find the android phone to get photos off it.
