I see that people are putting the front mudguard on the rear as well now, have any of you tried this and how well did it work out?
The rear specific one is a bit fugly to say the least!
The rear one's bogging awful but it works really well, and when the weather turns in the spring and you (finally!) get to whip the sodding thing off it's a brill feeling 😆
tried it, doesn't really work as your ass gets covered. good on some full sussers to protect the shock from spray though. standard rear hugger is awesome though
Form, or function. Your choice.
Ive got a front one on the rear, had to cut a slot in the side to stop any chain rub
Not worried about my back getting muddy, my main reason for fitting a front one to the rear is it covers the whole of lower swingarm, it stops any build up of mud/grime on the Specialized Kenevo just behind the motor
Otherwise the mud and grime builds up and causes paint damage as the swingarm moves past the motor housing as the gap is tiny and grinds the paint away (found this out on my old Levo)
Oh well, thought it was too good to be true, thanks all.
I,m a mud hugger fan!
