just got one, seems like a nice idea, and pretty secure when fitted.
always thought crudguards were a great bit of kit, this looks like it could be better.

am I right?

the rear one is great, ime (I'm running a 29er one on a fat bike). Use helicopter tape where it touches your frame.

ugly but pretty effective.

I've got one but not got around to putting it on my new frame yet. Holding onto the hope it'll start to dry up a bit and I won't have to.

be nice if there was an easy on/off option.

I'm pleased with my rear MudHugger... though the cable-ties do work loose over time. Still in need of a crudcatcher for the front as the standard MudHugger doesn't stop dirt flying of my 29er wheels into my face.

I just wish they'd make a crudcatcher that sits snuggly on a wider diameter down tube.

Mine works a treat on my HT. It's harder to fit one as close to the wheel on a FS, so they are less effective on them.

I've just put a piece of inner tube around the frame, 'sealed' along its join and ends with electrical tape, where it fits. Seems to provide a more solid fitting for the mudhugger than helitape did. Works very well either way though.

Yes, add a piece of innertube or they may eat away the paint

Very pleased with mine, no more muddy arse or backpack, even in the worst slop. Much better than a Crud rear. Mine was supplied with frame protection tape. I think that's standard now.

No mudguard is pretty, but if you want a dry arse mudhugger is the one to get, especially if you use a dropper

I ordered one myself yesterday, how long do they normally take to arrive?

Love the rear one, very ugly but I'm OK with that as most of the time I'm looking forward 🙂

Front one not so good as I've got a Maxxis Shorty and I ended up with too little clearance so no only have a crud catcher on the front that as it's on a Whyte is attached using the down tube bosses and seems to be much better than on my hard tail where it's zip tied on.

Absolutely spot on, bone dry bum. Dont let the cable ties come loose or snap and then hide it in your regular riding spot. By the time you come back a half week later the whole area may of been felled and it would be lost forever!

Front one on both my trance and on my Giant Glory both of them work great with virtually no spray back which helps when your using a gopro

Topeak version is prettier, and potentially offers more adjustment

i'll never ever use a rear mudguard but the front hugger is a rad piece of kit. the 1mm drip thing at the front is brilliant
