I was going to buy a pair of the Conti Mud King 26" x 1.8* tyres.
However, I have Stans Podium MMX rims, and I seem to remember the maximum tyre pressure for the rims is really low (17psi seems to ring a bell).
It appears that the Mud Kings are supposed to be run at 50psi for best performance.
Will I die if I use this tyre/rim combination?

Always ignore Continental's ludicrous pressures - they're about twice what anyone actually puts in them.
