You may have heard about Muckmedden already, but in case you haven’t, here is a list of reasons why you should come to our “Muckin’ Good Events” this year.

1. We have the most encouraging and enthusiastic course marshals on the planet and some of them make chicken noises from time to time.

2. You will love the camaraderie and laid-back atmosphere at our events.

3. You will ride the best trails in the country.

4. We use trails that are amazing fun to ride for most levels of rider.

5. You will probably meet some new fun-loving mountain biker friends (whether you like it or not, just give them a false name if you think they’re dodgy)

6. Our venues are more easily accessible and cheaper to get to than many other events - within 1.5hrs of 90% of Scotland’s population.

7. We tend to throw the rulebook out of the window and use our imagination instead - Enduro with dual slalom stage anyone? How about a head to head downhill race you can ride on a hardtail?

8. We have a family-friendly policy and have kid’s races and a high standard of facilities and catering at each event.

9. Most of our events have peripheral activities such as a stunt airbag or mobile Pumptrack to play around on.

10. We raffle-off prizes at the end of each event and you can win lots of nice stuff.

So, now you’re in the mood to ride some amazing trails you should know about our next event, [b]Cream o’ the Croft MTB Champs[/b]!

Cream o’ the Croft is a three day festival of mountain biking from 26th – 28th June which will be held at the award winning Comrie Croft. There are a billion and one activities going on including camping, a pedal-powered cinema and live music but we’ll just concentrate on the competitive element for now.

Muckmedden have exclusive use of The Croft’s amazing new trail network on Saturday 27th June and we plan to use every berm, drop, roller and rock garden to give you the best day of your riding life. Sound ok?

Cream o’ the Croft MTB Champs is a multi-discipline MTB tournament, think of it like a “decathlon” for mountain bikers, where riders will compete in several timed rounds throughout the day to find the best all-rounder.

Like an Enduro the event is multi-stage so between rounds you can chill with your mates and soak up the atmosphere. As always the aim of the game is just having fun on great trails and the range of timed stages will level the playing field between the climbers and the descenders. Expect Blue, Red and Black-graded descents, bike park and pumptrack rounds, head to head dual-slalom races, an XC “hot-lap” and a timed hillclimb.

The best performance overall will be crowned "Cream o’ the Croft" and the rest of us will probably just head to the bar!

Race entry also entitles you to live music and entertainment in the Hay Barn Bar on Saturday night, but with a licenced bar, pedal-powered cinema, mini-bike pumptrack racing, kids races, airbag and a giant water slide you should probably just book a full weekend pass!
