Thinking of doing the PBW and Mary Townley Loop this Thurs/Fri. Anyone done any riding up there recently and how wet/muddy/crap was it?

I seem to remember it being heavy on brake pads - is this the case still?

Thanks

In Hebden Bridge and I've never seen the steep road outside my house flowing quite as violently as it is right now. I'm guessing it will still be very wet and ridiculously muddy later this week.

Don't know about wet but judging by the 500 tonnes of rubble washed into Hebden off the tops after today's little flood-ette, they may well be a different shape by now.

The MTL was very wet a week last Saturday (30th)

Fit mud guards and spare socks and you'll be fine

Most of the MTL is on decent surfaces, you'll be fine.
