anyone been around luncheon on french side , saw some trails from trans nomad and looked good , maybe ridable in winter ?

Do you mean Luchon, as in Bagneres du Luchon? If so it's great. One big lift with 1200m of up then lots of great ways down. Mix of manmade and cheeky. It's a ski resort so I suspect winter riding will be limited. There's lots of other riding in the area if you are willing to do some climbing or driving. One of my favourites
