You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
So it seems to be time to think about the summer holidays. Anyone been riding in Slovenia? From what I can see it looks great, any recommendations for places to stay etc? A group of probably 5 of us hoping to go, and planning to do more all day rides with lift assist where we can rather than a necessity.
Thanks,
Julian

Been to Slovenia 3 times and it and the people are great.
Thanks Trekster, plenty of reading to do when I'm not at work!

Top bloke and excellent guide. Fit as a butchers dog mind.
might be going back this year.
the ride thru the old mines near Mezica was kinda cool.
prolly do a couple of days near Bovec again, and a couple near Mezica or Maribor.
Never done an uplift day, as such... just get a map, check the mag articles, and go ride, but cheat and take a single ride up one gondola.
edit: and I have a MTB guide book for Bovec/Tolmin/Kobarid area, but it's all in German (GPS routes available).
Not ridden there but been walking in the mountains in the north west. Lovely country and definitely want to visit again.
I just hired bikes when in Bovec and Bohjin, got a map and went exploring 😆
Guys at outdoorfreaks, Main Street in Bovec were great.
Took me ages to readjust to normal brake lever positions, riding on the correct side of the road and being clipped in again 😛
