Yep. We have stayed in Hartsop a few times. If you head up towards the car park, follow the bridlepath you can get a really good 3 hr circular route which takes in some great bridlepathss I have an OS Map at home, I will give the details on here later. There is even a great pub stop along the way 😀

Ok, this is from Explorer Map OL5.
Start at Hartsop, head from the car park, up to Hayeswater.
The bridlepath turns left just before the reservoir and heads towards "the knott" ( at this point it is a definate hike a bike, also the path can be a bit hit and miss to follow)
You then join High Street, but you go left onto the bridlepath towards Loadpot Hill. Just before Loadpot Hill take the left bridlepath onto High Street. This is a great descent towards Barton Park. At the Bridlepath junction turn left towards Ullswater.
Follow this excellent descent to Howtown where you can stop for a butty and beer at the Hotel.
After that, follow the road, keeping the beck/ river on your right. After a few miles there is a bridleway on your left which follows Ullswater lake back to Patterdale. This is one of the best bridleways in the lakes, brilliant...
From Patterdale, follow the bridlepath back to Hartsop.

A couple of Kms north of Hartsop are the BWs over Boredale Hause and Beda Fell, which are great. From The Knott (above Hayeswater on the route above), there is a footpath heading north to Boredale Hause, past Angle Tarn. Shame it's a footpath, as it would be ace to cycle....even on a weirdo's bike like yours.

Your literally spoilt for choice there. Do you want a Tech Fest with lots of portage or a more traditional route like High Street described above ?

For a cheeky one, Hartsop Above How, Onto Hart Cragg, Farifield, Cofa Pike (bit exposed) then back over St Sunday.

or Up Kirkstone, Carry onto St ravens Cragg, Stoney Cove Pike, Thornthwaite Beacon, Race course hill, Knot, Satura Crag and Angle Tarn Crags to Boredale Hause, then either of the BW's to Patterdale or direct to Hartsop.

If you're there a couple of days monkeysfeet is a classic so do that - aslong as it's been dry can be boggy on high st, then next day same climb to start but boxelders suggestion satura crag (bit vague, some pushing) angle tarn boredale hause (really really good), descend to patterdale (BW is more tech/fun than fp, watch for the split) then climb up to do the higher BW over to silver crag, proper tech little drop in to the ullswater trail, this time in the other direction. When you get to sandwick take the road up boredale back up to the hause and descend the fast easy BW to hartsop.

Haven't done Beda fell yet so I may take a look at that, have noted Lowey's sunday crag for later use 🙂

of course you can nip over to the otherside of the valley aswell, I've done the satura crag/boredale loop and then up glenridding to do sticks pass, makes a nice figure of 8. Tho not sure how 29+ compatible the lower part of sticks is.

It's more the rigid fork I was thinking about than 29+, it's not exactly a gnar fest where I live so it'd be a steep learning curve!
