Off to Canada for a week in September so need to sort out some insurance.
Have home ins with Pedalcover so bike is covered home and away.
Any recommendations?

I use InsureandGo.com. Never had to claim but seems to cover everything.

Thread hijack alert! (Sorry)

I've just bought an annual travel policy. Basic level doesn't cover mountain biking, but premium level only covered "mountain biking, except downhill [which is a bit subjective], when with a fully licensed company and wearing a helmet." Since I'm unlikely to use a guide, I didn't see the point and went basic.

So I'm interested to know if you can get separate cover just for that at a reasonable price.

I have just got back from Canada and did some MTBing, and I used the virgin travel insurance, did not have any need to call them but from the other reviews if something did go wrong it seemed as the support would be excellent.

If you have a Natwest or RBS account, it's worth checking out their travel insurance upgrade for 'hazardous activities'. It costs £60 for a year, we just had to claim as my wife broke her wrist in Morzine a couple of weeks ago. Very easy process and no issues with them paying out.

I think Snowcard and Dogtag have been recommended on here as independent insurance providers.
