Looking forward to a family week in Bakewell soon and was wondering if anyone had any mtb route options. I need something for a family mini adventure ride (1yr old on the back Mrs following behind) and a separate route to fulfill my All-Mountain-spirit-of-Endure urges!

There was a route in Singlettrack (issue 89) that started in Bakewell, otherwise routes in the two Vertebrate Publishing books - White Peak Mountain Biking and Peak District Mountain Biking

Loads of routes for family and more extreme.

However, if it's a family weekend and you have half an hour to kill on your own - head up to the Bakewell mini DH course above the old station/golf course. It's only short, not extreme, but loads of fun for a bit of a session
