I find that most MTB shorts are way too long. I don't want mine to go all the way down to the knee, nevermind my calves!
Can anyone recommend a decent pair of shorts, that are short?
Cheers.
If you find any let me know...
I have some Decathlon ones that are now a few years old that fit me quite well (short legs) but they dont make them anymore.
Edit: People on here tend to say Endura, but when I have tried they have been very long !
Endura Singletrack?
I usually have the opposite problem, need shorts with a longer leg.
Rapha Touring, pricy, not very hard wearing on the MTB, but they do free repairs,
would say Endura are long.
Altura feel short after wearing Endura Humvees most of the time (the normal length, not 3/4). Altura Ascent, iirc. Stretchier fit, so that's my baggies for road bike use 😈
Have you tried Ground Effect Double Happys? When stood, then rest just on your knees, on the bike, they're a good few inches above
Vulpine Summer Shorts are pretty short as well (although not specifically MTB shorts)
Pretty much any MTB baggy or road Lycra short will be fine.
Unless of course there is another issue?!?
I normally have the opposite problem Enduro 3/4 end at me knees...
You need to man up and get yourself to a Triathlon shop. They sell obscenelt short shorts.
I have a decathlon pair of baggies from last year that a relatively short by mtb baggy standards. Alternatively, buy any pair you like and take them to a local clothing alteration place who will adjust them to any length you like for very little money.
Wont you end up looking like a 1970's sportsman?!
I don't mind looking like McEnroe on the bike, hora.
I've always done more road/CX cycling than MTB, so I think over the years I've just found lycra to be more comfortable. I've never understood shorts that go past the knee; they're not shorts, surely?
I'm 6ft with a 30" waist (and skinny thighs) so ideally looking for something not too loose
Those Rapha Touring shorts look pretty smart (for £80, they should do too!!)
I think I tried the Altura Ascent shorts last year and although they're not too long, they're very loose/baggy.
Altura Ascent are short compared to most!
