Can anyone recommend some good mtb'ing around Findhorn/Forres? I normally take the road bike but it's more of a family thing so the mtb will be more use. 15-20 mile ride is ideal, the closer to Findhorn the better.

As I don't know the area too well I usually end up at the Monster Trails near Fochabers (or travel a bit further to the Cairngorms). However, the area is so beautiful I'd be happy riding around a car park there.
Apparently there is a downhill track (homemade) in the forests near Forres, but not sure where. There's also that funny little skills track at Sanquahar Woods.
There was definitely a What MTB classic route that went around the Dallas area, might be worth a search.
Just south of Forres on the hill there are plenty of trails...

I went out past Dallas last year cycling out to Glenfiddich Distillery, it was beautiful. MTB routes round there would be good, I'll have a look.
