So we're heading up to Crainlarich in a couple of weeks for a family break. Can't fit my bike in with all the junk (clothes, toys etc) that we need.
Looking to hire a bike for the day and figured I'd hire one at Fort Bill / Nevis Range and try the new blue run, as I'm a slow old mincer.
Just wondering if anyone had any alternatives that I may want to try?
I’m not aware of anything in Crainlarich, it’s probably a bit too wee. If you’re going to NR then you pretty much go past Off Beat Bikes and Nevis Cycles in Fort William, or you’ve got the bike hire at NR as you’ve mentioned. Latter is probably the easiest, but if they’ve got nothing you could try the town shops.
Killin has bikes at outdoor shop. Hardtails of more basic spec. They hire better canoes and kayaks😀
I think there is somewhere on Lomond.
you can hire at blair athol but again I think basic bikes
Part of the issue too is that riding at Crianlarich is either West Highland Way (busy with walkers) or Munro's...
Killin has a bit more, none of which is marked, including some nice loops up empty glens and some fun in the woods.
