I rode out the back(inland) of the resort up through some abandoned bits. then straight out on landrover tracks to the other side of the island, some odd places and some big loose dogs... Climbed a couple of old volcanoes, very loose and very rocky! The island isn't that big so you can't really get that lost. Just keep an idea where the main roads are so you can back track. Watch out for the cacti. Also rode the cost road south turned inland and explored by just following the landrover tracks to see where they went.

Didn't see much in the way of singletrack, just roads and landrover tracks and improvised riding through the middle of a wasteland.

Have taken my Mtb six or seven times but I stay in Lajares or El Cotillo in the north of the island. There are some fantastic routes up there but I know the area quite well. Caleta Cycles have bikes for hire and do guided rides but don't know of them personally. I have also ridden in the south over to Cofete beach. I normally ride early morning or late afternoon as it does get quite warm even with the famous breeze the island is named after. The riding sandy, some soft, some hardpack and can be very rocky. You will love it no mud just dust, I go again next month and can't wait 8) A few photo's to wet your appetite  Looks smooth but gets technical further down. Destroyed a native riding buddy, think he was suprised. There's a reasonable bike hire (Caleta Cycles) at the resort run by an English guy (Jeff). We hired a couple of basic HT's (I think he has some full-sussers for hire as well IIRC) for a day of mooching about the landrover tracks over towards the middle of the island. Exactly as described by mrmo - be careful though, in June you'll fry in the sun and there's very little shade anywhere.

The basic map you get isn't very detailed though but I was told there are some sketchy trails off into the hills which give more challenging riding - check at the bike hire. At the time (a couple of years ago) he was advertising a guided ride once a week, so you might want to check into that as well.

Cheers All,

I went a couple of years ago but had a big off just before i went which meant any riding was out of the window. The heat is brutal (47c last time i went) but will be aiming early morning or evening time.

The pics look awesome cant wait now 🙂

You can get lost, a lot of the tracks look alike and when it's 30 deg and you are running out of water it can be a problem. There is a very good Mtb race series on the island the longest is the Fudenas at over 150 Km long. The island does have bridleways not just 4x4 tracks you have to know where to look or ask a local to show you around like I did, that and Google Earth.

We rode from Jandia past the harbour at Moro Jable. Along the track towards Costa Calma there is some Singletrack that follows the coast, Iirc the locals call it Wunderland (with a V )it's well marked by rocks.
After a good few miles pick up the road that takes you to the Nazi Villa (over a ridge) Now the fun bit...it looks like its a steepish cliff, but it's ridable by bike by following a goat path. The wiki link that was posted earlier is that climb. Great descent all singletrack back to coastal road, again there is more st to the left of the road. 50km all in and a top day.
Sorry to go on a bit 😀
