Afternoon,

I'm working in Portsmouth and Southampton next Thursday/Friday and was hoping to get out on the bike in the evening.

With the fading light it would be best if I tagged along with a MTB group so I don't have to worry about navigating in the dark

Does anybody know of any clubs in these areas that roll on a Thurs night?

Thanks

Newforce Club:

Rides Thursday eves and often Tues. Often Winchester or Forest area - various.

Club roughly gauges ride speed/length by curry strength (Korma,Tikka,Jalfrazi etc.) but not totally reliable.

Fareham Wheelers have an MTB club section who ride, Thursdays? not sure but they used too about 1.5 years ago. Have a look on the website.. The guy who ran them back then is/was called Dave Palke (spelling)
Have you tried Meon Valley MTB club?
Or the Lordswood lot ride on Thursday eves around the woods near Sotty, seek out "worldclassaccident" on here or keep an eye out as they advertise the ride every week on here..

Have you tried Meon Valley MTB club?

Same as: The Meonstoke gentleman's mountain bike club?
https://www.strava.com/clubs/mgmtbc

I'm not part of it but maybe someone else on here could help you out.

Didn't go too smoothly when I tried to join (long story) but you may have better luck.

Southdowns MTB

Let them (us) know your going and we'll try and ensure someone is there to guide you. If its chucking down it will probably be a poor turn out!
