No, but smudge is a top bloke to deal with, that would go a huge way on any decision i'd make

Not used Lupine, but the Smudge light is brilliant and the service is top notch.

My old boss had some £450+ Lupine's about 5 years ago and the battery died after 13 months - they didn't even offer him a discount on a replacement which is pretty bloody poor I think.

Therefore, Smudge is the default choice!

I know all about the lupine quality issues, just considering the light functionality. I have a whole lupine system with no working head unit but I have the option to buy a s/h head unit for cheap. However a LED job could be better but would cost more and need bodging for the batteries I have.

I had a Edison 5, when it died for the umpth time, I replaced it with a P7 torch which was brighter... my Smudge V1 is brighter than my P7 torch.

It's not even a question in my mind.

PS: Actually Smudge had made me a battery pack up for my edison 5 when the lupine one died, I'm still using it with my Trout mini
