Is this jacket a bit ott? I'm thinking I want something that will keep me dry through autumn and winter coming. Should I just use my altura cross lite and layer up?
Does anyone have one and not use it?

I use mine when the conditions are right. All year round, especially this year.
Winter I have a few layers underneath, in 'summer' just a merino base.
It's waterproof and can get a bit steamy. I prefer that to the drowned rat look, though.

The Flyte is the same waterproofing with fewer 'features' so packs a lot smaller (and costs a lot less).
