As in the title, I'm after mountain bike routes in and around Stone Staffordshire. I currently drive to Cannock Chase; but I'm after local trails. Can anyone me help. Please. đŸ™‚

Have a look at Hanford woods, just off junction 15, loads of trails around there. Swimnertons and goltec normally have rides out weekday evenings.

Ditto on Hanchurch woods. Start near the cottage and just dive into the woods off the fire roads whenever you see a trail. Great fun exploring and connecting them together. Gets v muddy tho.

If you want club rides, you have 2 choices and they are both at 6 on a Tuesday. The vélostore in stone industrial estate and the group from goldtec start at the harvester restaurant near Trentham gardens.
A good place and closest to stone is Barlaston downs. Get up to the trig point and there is a track behind it, the entrance is to the right with the drop of the hill behind you. Be careful coz that first drop is a killer mass of steep roots.

Anyone up for a evening rides? I work in Stone during the week and would like to get out, but don't really know anyone that rides during the week. (Night riding by myself gives me the creeps)
