I have a 2022 Orbea Rise H30
I noticed that one of the 6 bolts  attaching the motor to the frame was  loose and would not tighten. I decided to investigate and could not tighten or remove the bolt. It pulls out a few millimetres but there seems to be something stopping it from fully extracting and as such I cannot drop out the motor.
There is a faint clicking type sound when I pull it outwards. It is the M8x26 drive side bolt which inserts through the mounting thingy and Im thinking it, or a washer or something, is stuck and preventing the bolt extracting.
I will need to drop the motor at some stage
How would you remove this bolt?
Thanks

You have [had] a warranty then, no?
Don't **** with it [anymore]. It's not like you can do anything once you have it apart except void that warranty so take it to where it came from and let them deal with it.

Why? It's not a home serviceable part [or as far as I'm aware, anywhere else for that matter what with it being shimano and their approach for everything from bottom brackets to brakes being "throw it away and replace it"]
I had previously removed the motor to access the dropper post. It looks that I didnt re-insert that bolt correctly.
Im not attempting to access the actual motor and Ive probably voided any warranty claim by refitting the motor bolt incorrectly. Im not going to attempt removing it - just would like to know if its possible. The motor is secure and the bike is riding perfectly but at some stage in the future the motor will need dropped out.
Despite years of proven ineptitude I decided that removing 6 bolts couldn’t be difficult. Sometimes my stupidity astounds me!
Well, you been warned...
I occasionally use a wedge with a notch cut in it, slide under the bolt head as you unscrew to provide upward pressure assuming the head isn't completely recessed.
If it is, try a reverse thread screw extractor (or tapping a torx bit or similar) into the bolt head hopefully you can then generate enough lift whilst unscrewing. Careful doing this that a) you don't knacker what ever is supporting the bolt at the moment and b) you've tried everything else already as you will ruin the socket on the bolt.
My best guess is that the thread's picked up/galled, and will probably take the rest of the thread in the motor with it if it comes out. Penetrating oil, and constant working of the bolt may get it out, but it's more likely that you'll end up needing a thread repair like a helicoil or similar.
MY guess is its picking up on the washer I would also say get it sorted or vibration could cause more damage. Coatseys guess is probably better thanmine
