Riders Refuge is my favourite. Preferably in one of the chalets just outside the noisy town centre.

Free transfers, breakfast and evening meals chucked in. Good craic around the dinner table every night.

I can't wait to get back there.

Hard to beat Atlas MTB (formerly MTB Beds) especially for a first trip. Great accommodation, great food and a great bunch of guys.

'In' for this thread as I've never been and this was suggested over the weekend for next year....

If you just want digs and aren’t bothered about staying in Morzine itself you can get 1 bedroom apartments in Avoriaz (go through Hotels.com) for around €70/night. Ours had a bedroom with a double bed, lounge/dining/kitchen area with a double sofa bed and a single. Bikes went on the balcony.

Basically bike in / bike out down the Avoriaz bike park or Chatel.

How do you get back to Avoriaz in a thunderstorm?

Good question! We had 5 days of glorious weather this year, the day we left the heavens opened.

My chum has a lovely 3 bedroom apartment that can sleep up to 9 folks. I can pass on the AirBnB details if you're interested. Right next to the boingy bridge that heads to the super Morzine lift.
