Can anyone recommend me a really good restaurant in Morzine this summer?  Preferably one that does really good steak (bonus points for Chateaubriand).  For nearly 20 years the wife and I have always been dirtbagging it around Europe, but now we’re a bit (a lot) older we don’t want to eat all our meals in the cheapest way possible.

La Rotonde or La Grange (I prefer La Rotonde personally). Many others in Morzine obviously, including La Chamade, but those two are my best recommendations.

La Grange is great, reminds me I better book a table.

I’m a vegetarian so can’t really help you out on the steak.

L’Etale, I think, the sister restaurant to Rotande. Kids had the chocolate fondue. They do an artery clogging raclette too.

Feel the need to recommend Les Chevrelles on Mt Caly, very good food, but the views across to Mt Blanc are superb. Night sky is great as well if you're there after dark.

Not taking the kids this year (dumping them at my parents and then the in-laws) so we can go as fancy as we like for once. One fussy 6 year old and one 6 year old with ADHD do not combine to make fun restaurant experiences.
