We’re planning on riding the green trails up on the Zore lift tomorrow with the kids.

At the end of the day what is the best way to get back to Morzine? Get the super Morzine lift down, ride down the road OR...

what is the orange trail from the top of the Zore down to town. The one that ends at the Montriond end of town? It’s marked as ‘chemin mixte et piste enduro’. Will competent 10 and 11 year olds who can ride the greens well and pick down the blues be ok on it?

Thanks!

It’s an Enduro line, and whilst it’s been a few years I seem to recall it’s quite tough, in fact I’m sure I tore the ligaments in my ankle on it once.

It’s also in the trees and it’s belting down at the moment...

I wouldn’t ride down the road with kids, you can hit mega speeds down there if you want, not worth the risk, I’d just come down the lift.

Ditto come back down super morzine. There’s no pleasant way down from there with younger kids. Just watch for it closing if another storm rolls through.

Fair enough. Thought it might be fruity in the trees.

Thanks.

As above. It is a great way down, I recommended it to some guys earlier when they missed the last lift.

But- it is rooty, slippy, loose, fast and in places steep. I'd suggest that you get the bubble. If you miss it, take the road.

They'll easily get down the vtt route that goes from the top of zores, along the ridge to avoriaz, down to linderettes (either road or longer orange route off road), through goat village, down the road to the ski lift then off road to lac montriond, then more off road to the river and finally along the river to morzine. Only issue is that it is long and they may be well tired by the end. It's a good option if you plan it, finish early then ride down. If you are riding until tired then heading down then definitely take the lift down

Agree. The last bit along the river is uphill albeit gently so.

Lister: you & I have done that route on the day we rode to Chatel? 13 years ago!

We have! And we did it with the kids two years ago. Good day out. We’d parked at the lake so could swim at the end.

Thanks again folks.
