I've done a route through Glen Achall above Ullapool up to Loch an Daimh, then the contour on a path at the western end of the Loch to the Strath Mulzie track. I seem to remember the contour path was hike a bike but only for about 2 or 3 kms. There is another track going up the north side of this loch which goes past a building marked Knockdamph then about 7 kms further to Duag Bridge where you can join the Strath Mulzie track. I was looking for the easiest option so any recent local knowledge would be appreciated.

scotroutes /might/ be able to assist. I've done the Oykell Bridge to Glen Achall route by bike, a fine route it was, all SS rideable IIRC, but we went up Strath Mulzie rather than along the loch side..
