I've been a happy user of Gravity 777 carbon bars for some time, 5mm rise, 4 degree upsweep and a slightly more than average 10 degree backsweep, also nice and comfy (not that I really noticed it at the time, was just so used to them).
They were getting pretty beat up so replaced with some Nukeproof Horizons on offer at CRC. Backsweep is not exactly right but I can deal with it, but I just can't get on with the stiffness, I totally miss the comfort of the old Gravity Bars on the hardtail in particular.
Any recommendations for something more comfortable than the Nukeproof? Would prefer not to cost the earth and 31.8mm clamp would be ideal so I don't need a new stem, but if I need to pay more to get something right I will, as not really loving the Nukeproof ones.
Maybe keep an eye out for 2nd hand Enve RSR bars? Mine are superbly comfy and have been total fit and forget.
not quite 10 degrees backsweep but close at 9 i got some of these PNW ranger bars in 31.8 over a year ago to replace some overly stiff 35mm and hardly any backsweep bars find them much more comfortable for my knackered wrists and elbows

Spank vibrocore aluminium bars were a revelation for me
Well I think they marketed the V2 Horizons as being more comfy?
It's V2 I have.
I have some Title Reform bars. 9 degree backsweep so perhaps more in line with what you used previously. They're really comfy.
One Up's carbon bar is often cited as one of the comfiest but only comes with 8 degree backsweep. Syntace and SQLab do 12 and even 16 degree backsweep bars if its the backsweep that's the issue.
Got to the point where any all alloy bar would make my wrists hurt - now using the Nukeproof V2 Carbon (but you'll maybe struggle with shape judging by your post) as the price was good, and also got some Spank Spike Vibrocore which really do seem to reduce buzz and don't hurt my wrists - but they don't seem to be very easy to get in the UK now
Might have missed this but are the Nukeproof alloy or carbon?
I have the Nukeproof v1 carbon and always thought they were comfy in a forgiving way.
I think the Brand-X (I just bought a set at £40) are the old v1 Nukeproof carbons.

Spank vibrocore aluminium bars were a revelation for me
I have the 777 bars and the Spank are as brilliant for my knackered hands and neck.
Can you fill them with expanding foam and make your own Vibrocore bars?
I’ve always found my aluminium Renthal Fatbars very comfy.
I’ve only heard good things about the V2 NukeProof bars
I find the brand x carbon bars fine - they’re also 31.8mm clamp size. Not many bars get 10 degree backsweep that I’ve found. I had some raceface alloy bars on a new bike a few years back and found them too ‘straight’ - that’s when I switched to more backsweep and the Brand X bars do that nicely.

Runing two sets of these for years, both been great. Had to take a set of M9s off another bike though, damaged them in a crash, they have a wee hole a few mms deep right beside my brake lever clamp and it made me nervous. Glad I didn't see if before I rode them in the alps for three days after the crash 😉
I have the SQLabs alloy bar with 12 degree backsweep and whilst I like the backsweep, I have been getting pins and needles in my hands if I don't move my hands for a while on the hardtail as I think they are too stiff.
I need to put my old RaceFace carbon bars back on as a comparison and see what happens
One Up carbon and Syntace Vector carbon. Both great bars with plenty of suppleness. Syntace come in different backsweeps too.
I like my spank vibrocore.
First pair bought because I needed a cheap high ride bar. Second and third pair bought because they are a great fit for me.
I'm unconvinced the magic foam does anything, but the shape is right for me.
I recently bought the V2 Carbon to replace its Alu predecessor. Does seem a bit more comfortable but not hugely so. worth it though I think so far.
