Any reasons not to buy this light? Online reviews seem quiet mixed. Anyone have Real world experience of it? Seems all my surrounding Halfords branches have sold out of the 1500 bikehut lamp and just found a cracking deal on a pair of the moon lights. Mainly for evening woodland bimbles and single-track. Nothing gnar. Thanks in advance

I had one for a short time but returned it as one emitter/circuit was faulty (the cooler/whiter of the two. It was (barely) used so I got a decent look at one before returning as faulty. Decently made and solid-looking light. I prefer a warm white light so it ticked that box. I found the menu off-putting and vastly overcomplicated. YMMV. It may have been just me 😉

The remote was a nice bonus but felt that would have been better with an O-ring rather than velcro. The bracket was chunky and the rails on the unit were fashioned into the plastic of the unit. I thought that looked a weak point.

I got a Ravemen PR900 unit in the end for same price and very happy with it, also is solid alu body. TBH it’s more for gravel/road with occasional light MTB. But I like the combined/alternate different beams 1 x road (wide square w/cutoff) and 1 off-road (round/flood)

Looking to upgrade to the PR1200 but tbh the 900 is good near perfect for most everything I do. Bit of everything (no gnar) and 7 hours runtime on med/high. I’ll simply add one of my solar storms on the helmet if going heavily offpiste.

So the Moon Meteor Dual, for me - close but no cigar. Can’t remember if the beam was wide or maybe road.cc have it in the database/comparison tool?

Apparently road cc have it rated at 8/10. Most of the gripes about it I've read have been about the fitting guides on the unit cracking and being overly complicated for simple use

I have a Meteor Storm Lite and am very pleased with it. The matrix display makes no sense whatsoever, but I can overlook that.

I have a slightly older one:

The funny display on the back is just a gimmick, but the light seems OK. I like the fact it shares the same mount with all Moon lights so I can just use the tiny meteor if I want a flashing day running light or it's a quick trip into town. Only use the bigger one if I need a lot of light for a longer ride on unlit roads.

I've had a single led Moon Vortex Pro for a few years and recently bought a Meteor Storm Pro.
Both feel well made and I've had no problems with either of them.

I have just bought one cheap.
My reliable Exposure had run of juice on my commute so bought one from work to get me home.
The light is good once you get on the right settings!
Just when you work it it out it throws a curve ball!
Took us a while to work out how to turn it on!
