I have a Samsung SyncMaster 226BW I have had it 2 years, and the problem is that when I turn the computer on it doesn't find the image
I have to unplug the signal cable and wait for the digital and no data recieved then plug it back into the computer then it shows the image.
But this doesn't always work and I have to do it multiple times before it shows an image.

Any ideas guys or anyone know someone in derbyshire I can take it to?

I had something similar, it was the video card that was to blame in my case though. Foo you have a laptop or another computer you could try it on?

Once you have checked the Gfx card / cable, go for the warranty rather than getting someone to open it and void the warranty
Your monitor has a 36 month swap out (Pick up & swap) warranty, just phone Samsung, give them the serial #, and they should be able to verify from that, the status of the warranty from the manufacturing date.
from Samsung UK site
All other Samsung products: 0330 SAMSUNG (7267864)

Ok I'll give them a ring it's not the video card because all other monitors work fine and the pc is new

It isn't clear whether or not you have swapped the cable yet but if you haven't then you should definitely try that. There are more signals go down the cable than just video and it is possible that some of the stuff is intermittant

If it was a warranty card that was postable, just claim you posted it and its their problem if they mention it! Besides, I'm not sure they can make you register your product to activate the warranty. A lot of warranty cards only need to be filled out when you want to make a claim.
