We'll be skirting all of the reservoirs, which are traditionally quite flat.

I might be able to make this as it's pretty much rideable one handed. Need to get back on bike, I'm getting fat.

Who is playing out? And, more importantly, does anyone know the route?

I'm not sure but if we have no leader I might be able to string a route together and it will force me out...

I’ve started with a cold so I’m undecided if I am riding later. I will confirm either way later.

i'll be sticking ultra local, i.e. an hour or so up Rivi. got too much stuff to do with work and home so time is at a premium for me.

I don't know your route over,  but the M62 is closed between 18 and 20.

Not via the M62. As long as I don't ride into the back of any cars on the way home from work I'll be there.

I'll bring a map. Not sure if that constitutes "leading".

You and everybody else... but I was just riding my road bike (in my garage) which amounts to the same thing in some people's eyes...

I’ll be there. Can’t miss this half decent weather.

Leaving in 5 minute.

Broke my bike (front shifter is not ratcheting to the bottom setting). Fritzed the 12v sockets in the car (both of them, I'm a dick) and lost my cleaning brush (not my fault).

Other than that it was good to get out.

I'm free on Monday nights again!

Last night was the last of Mrs S's antenatal yoga classes so I now have my Monday nights back. The more astute among you will have noticed the problem with me actually getting out to play any time soon :/

Have your Acid Zumba classes resumed?

Hopefully, I'll be back in the welcoming bosom of the MNPR soon guys. Just on some new medication as of last week which I'm very much getting used too. Managed 15 miles out on the hardtail yesterday, but was left me very wibbly-wobbly at the top of the climb out of Birtle, so I'll spare you waiting for me even more so than usual. Its very much a case of riding on my own at the moment

The plan is to try and bang a few miles in every day, or every other day at least, and build up so if I can at least shove a couple of laps in at HtN, I'll be happy

Good to get out but I had the journey from hell to get home. It was almost as though the team working on the M60 had deliberately made it as difficult as possible for me to get home.

First I couldn't get onto the acw M60 from Bolton side so had to go cw up to Prestwich.

Then the J17 slip was closed so I had to go through Agecroft, Swinton and Worsley.

Then I couldn't get on at Worsley so had to go through Eccles..

Got home at 11.40 pm

Sounds like you should have just ridden up there on the Arkose 😉

It would have been quicker to get home (and the route mostly rideable)
