In the true spirit of democracy me, Binners and Bregante have decreed that we are going to Ramsbottom next week.

Hare and Hounds
BL0 9RY
8:15 blast off
Bring beer money

Feel free to join us, go to Brighouse or spend the evening wearing a groove on San Marino.

Ciao for now,

Is this like when two schoolkids are going to have a fight after school and you have to declare who's side you're on?

"Ciao for now"

More like meeowww than ciao!

My current track record for turning up if pretty poor at the moment but if you promise that we can finish at the H&H via Reddisher Woods then i will do my utmost to get there this week!

I would fancy a ride over Brighouse Way but given my current circumstances, a Monday night trip to Yorkshire is out of the question!

Wearing a groove into San Marino doesnt appeal to me - sorry JJ but i just don't get the point when there is so much to ride! Still each to their own and at least i now understand how the deep ruts in San Marino were formed!

Well I have my telly programmed to receive North West Tonight instead of Look North Yorkshire (I really couldn't care less what's going on in Leeds and Bradford!) so I guess my preferences are still on the Lancashire side of the border. I shall be at the H&H ready to go at 8.15.

I see it as a franchise opportunity. Soon there could be Monday Night Pub Rides all over the country.

However, if anyone organises one within a 20 mile radius of the MNPR spiritual home (The Church Inn, Prestwich) without the blessing if the members of The Inner Council we’ll pinch your dinner money, crush your crisps and draw willies on your face with a marker pen.

If my back is ok I'll be in the Ramsbottom one.

I was thinking about organising a monday night pub ride that finishes a bit earlier, is healthier and more virtuous.

I was thinking of achieving this by cutting out the pub and beer at the end, thoughts?

So you're going on a ride on your own then on a Monday night? 🙂

ha ha!! I'm getting a reputation! 🙂

I'm only doing this as I don't get much chance to ride the DH bike. This is a good place to get used to it before heading over to Antur Stiniog next month.

Got a new rear shock to get all set up nicely too, so I'll be back over there this coming Monday. 🙂

EDIT: I've not skidded once on San Marino so no deep groove from me. Although there were some other skids 2 weeks ago when I stacked it!

We'll launch a class action against you under the trades description act.Re: Monday night PUB ride

It also goes against every principle we hold dear, and could possibly be illegal. Any way you look at it, its insanity

Have you thought about getting treatment for your addiction?

Weather looks good folks. The moors should be fairly dry, so we'll head up to Bull hill, after a play on the chutes down the front of the tower, so we can finish with a pretty much constant descent down Bull Hill, Pilgrims Cross, Reddisher Woods, Hare and Hounds, pint, crisps 😀

ha ha! 🙂 I think this'll be my last time up there now.

Bringing the Ragley with me next week. Was meant to be going to Gisburn forest, but I don't know if it's too far

Feeling minging but as I have my pass stamped I’m not wasting the opportunity, especially as conditions are so good.

I shall be at the back in a cloud of snot, ear wax and bad language. It is probably best if you give me a wide-ish berth.

As I've got nothing better to do (apart from decorating, tidying, washing, overtime and shaving my legs) I think I might venture up and ride my mountain bike

Does shaving your legs get you faster strava times?

I'm still planning on being there but there's a small chance I might get stuck at work thanks to a teleconference with some workaholic americans at 4pm, so if I'm not there don't hang about, not that you will anyway 🙂

Dunno - but unshaved I've nearly put you out of the top 10 on the shooting cabin, admittedly, only by 2 seconds but they all count!

Edit - I'll be heading out round that way tomorrow if anyone fancies a ride, it's still pretty darn dry out there.

I seem to incurred some freak knee injury, which I seem to have developed by osmosis, or witchcraft. I'll come out anyway, and keep Harry company at the back. It'll be nice to have some company.

I might be tempted, but will need permission from the Mrs as it'll be the 3rd day in a row I'll have been out on my bike (not counting commuting).

Probably that bloody stream at the bottom of the steps. I've never managed to get over it without falling off or grinding to a halt cos I'm in the wrong gear.

What the hell is wrong with this town, the takeaways close at 11pm, that's not even kicking out time any more.

I nearly ended up in 24 hour tescos doing my weekly shop, bastards.

Anyway, cracking ride, thanks binners, leading from the front!

Great night for it last night. And I got a hatful of PR's on Strava, on account of leading from the front on the descent from Bull Hill, and feeling like a stuffed rabbit on a greyhound track
