If anyone fancies a day ride this weekend, I'm sorting a club run around a similar area, Saturday 10am from Rivington Country Park.

18 miles, 2000ft climbing.
(Sorry Andy, perhaps should have started my own thread).

Smidge has banged my new lights in the post today, so I'll be able to see in the dark again. Yay!

Just back from there. Trails are buff.

On a side note, when did driving to the top of Winter Hill with your bike become a thing?

We watched a couple last year doing 'uplifts' up the mast road, to then come down the run that's between the mast road and two lads. Full on riot gear and dh rigs.

I'll be there. I'm bloody knackered after the weekend, my bike is on it's last legs, and all my kit is dirty but sod it.

If anyone wants a lift from Tod let me know.

So you lot skipped a dry(ish), clear skied, almost full moon ride for a 0-0 draw? I think we know who the winners are tonight 🙂

Ducked because of a bug, Pah!!

I made last wednesdays Leisure Lakes night ride Exposure lights demo at Lee Quarry hours after the last bout of a weeks worth of honking my ring out with technicolour yawns!
It was touch and go, mind- I was still at home at 6pm, debating weather it was a good idea. I relented.
After near death experience on each and every climb, i can safely say "No" it was NOT a good idea

(I still enjoyed meself, mind you)
