This weeks ride may be affected a little by holidays! In HtS's absence i will don the cap of leadership and propose a ride out of Egerton. Taking in the charms of the Witton Weavers way and Turton Moor we will start at the slightly earlier time of 8pm and leave from the Thomas Egerton pub in Egerton, north Bolton.

As usual, Bike, Lights and beer money required.

Entirely up to you JJ but at least on the MNPR you will learn new tracks that you can piece together with others - all of which you can ride anytime at your leisure!

I'm touch and go for this one. I'll have to get to the post office and build the bike back up before heading up.

Unless it's proper hatdtail territory?

More of a flowing ride - well suited to hardtails...

Binners - im not certain that picture was taken locally?

It's actually Mrs Binners riding down Rammy High Street. A bit of cajoling and a couple of white wines...

Something strange happened at CRC - the managed to get a Chainring, hope T-Rex and some chainring bolts in a package small enough to get through my letter box.

Barring a spannering disaster I should make it

My Mrs is having her cruciate ligament reconstructed tomorrow morning so I guess I should skip this one and make her something nice for tea.

I packed the demo in the car last night, so guess I'm committed to mincing up and down San Marino all evening.

Would take me about a week to ride a xc route on it!?

I'll be back on board next week 🙂

It's apocalyptic in Manchester at the moment.

I've pencilled in September 15th for getting back in the saddle, looking forward to it as I'm getting proper grumpy now.

Have a good one tonight chaps

Good ride tonight! No rain here today although still a bit wet in places! A few minor mechanicals, nothing much - and a pretty healthy pace throughout!

[img] [/img]

Think this was probably the first proper 'night ride' of the year - the nights seem to be drawing in fast now!

On Monday evening after a great ride I mentioned that a space had become available for a Ciclo Montana trip to Spain. Me and Gaz are flying out on Saturday 27th September at 6.40 and returning on Wednesday 1st October at 11.40. From all accounts the riding is excellent if not a little bum twitchy. The price from Ciclo is £360 and I would need to confirm the cost of changing the name for the Jet2 flights. If anyone is interested in joining us, let me know ASAP as I will loose the place shortly.
Cheers.
Steve(finally signed up).

Aye-up, I'm baaaaack.

I can't find this week's thread. Am I thick or what?

Also - up for next week's, with a guest, if we can get there by train, as usual.

What's the plan[s]?

Aye oop chaps. A good few of the usual suspects (myself included) have been away. We'd pencilled in a local run around Rammy tonight, but to be honest I've got man-flu, so I don't know if I'm up for it

But..... as next week is a bank holiday, its been suggested that we do an earlier start, maybe 6-ish, do a bigger ride. Ramsbottom has been flouted as an idea, so we can do a run taking in Cragg Quarry, and finish in the brewery for a couple of pints

Ouch! I did that on the first morning of a week long Alps holiday so you have my sympathy. Take as many painkillers as your liver/stomach can handle. Ibuprofen, paracetamol and codiene can do wonderful things when combined. (IANAD obviously).

No - I haven't organised anything for this week. Just waiting on a new rear mech to solve a few issues! Plus plenty of others are still on holiday...

Next weeks earlier start time in Rammy sounds good though Binners!

Aye - that could work, though the two of us might need a lift. We might be able to travel from Tod or Rochdale or something.

Be good to see you all again 🙂

I'm not 100% certain I can do next Monday yet (90% certain though), but if I am I'll be driving from Tod if you need a lift. I'll confirm later in the week whether I'll be there once I know what's going on.
