I put my nice bike away for winter and on recommission have noticed that the shock takes 8 pumps before it locks out.
Before it was instant.
Is this a sign that something is about to fail?
Anyone?
More info might help, what kind of Monarch? What kind of lock out (remote, lever, hydraulic?)
8 pumps? Cycling the shock? Pushing the remote lever?
It's a monarch debonair rt on an 2016 anthem.
I have to cycle the shock 8 times before it locks out.
Air in the damper. Needs bleeding .
Is that a shop job?
Bike is still under warranty.
I had this, sent back under warranty
SRAM told me it was full of water & I must have jet washed it, I hadn't ,just ridden it thru a UK winter, cleaned with bucket & sponge at best, most of the time I just brush down when the muds dried !
This bike has never even got wet. Never been washed, just dusted.
If its under warranty I would go down that route first, that way if the shaft is scored they might replace it.
