Mobi washer help and spares?

Hey guys I’ve just dug out the mobi washer v15 after not using it for a while (almost 12 months)

it’s still working perfectly other than the fact when I turn it on the gun continuously sprays water, I cannot get it to stop unless I power it off, all seals are present (I know the connectors are crap) and I’ve a old gun that is doing the exact same too (it leaked badly hence replacement but kept it just incase)

so is it likely something else to do with the internals or the gun itself?

don’t want waste money on a new hose and gun if it’s something going inside that can’t be fixed

it’s annoying as it works perfectly but having the gun on constant is annoying as hell I as I have to keep stop/starting the power instead

Mine does this but it's a rusted part in the gun I think. The brass plunger doesn't return into the housing basically.

It's definitely an issue with the gun in my case not the machine. The machine it's self will happily run and pressurise without the hose & gun attached.

Thanks for the reply, yeah I’m thinking it’s more so the gun I can’t really see how internally it would do this

if I don’t connect the gun at all should the hose stop any water coming through when it’s powered on? Or with no gun attached will it still just flow through the hose?

Just a means of testing it without the gun before wasting money - sadly I can’t test it till next week now so

Rs components do spares under the sealey brand

If no gun connected the hose is open so the machine will keep pumping. The gun cutting flow allows pressure to build and trip the pressure switch inzide

My first gun did the same. Mines get a scoosh of wd40 for any long term storage. Can't say if it helps but first gun lasted months. Second is years old now

Not rs it's CPC Darnell always get those two mixed up

Sealey pw1712 is the same as mobiwasher

I ended up buying a generic gun from Amazon.

it was quite a few years ago as the original accessories (hose, gun and charger) were a bit crap, but my actual Mobi (V17? With the battery) is still working. It was one of the first generation ones they did with the built-in battery so over 15 years old. I think I managed to get some Hozelock compatible connectors and hose at some point.

@zerocool

mines is one of the original ones too, it’s at least 10-15 years old too not used that much really it still works fine bar the gun sadly so as much as I’d like a new one it seems pointless when this works ok, just need a new gun and think it will be all good again till that breaks again

Holy thread resurrection etc - but Googling a fix for my Mobi which has a connection fault (hose keeps popping off at the unit just enough to cut the water flow) and found this thread with a hanging question.

From what I can gather, these are nigh on identical to the Mobi ones in case anyone needs spare bits:

Anyone advise which gun is now compatible with the mobi washers? I’ve still not got around to finding a replacement gun or if anyone has a working spare they no longer need?

Sealey sell the bits. Their pw1721 washer is a clone of the mobi v17 and I’ve had parts off them recently (a pump which I had to mangle a bit to fit the v15 mobi, needed the pump diaphragm head rotating by 30° but otherwise it was exactly the same).

they have parts diagrams and seem to keep good stock. I mailed them on technical@sealey.co.uk and their sales line is 01284 757500
