Hopefully this one won’t be affected by a Typhoon/Famine/Visit from the Angel of Death.

Hare and Hounds
Holcombe
Bury BL0 9RY
8:15 blast off

Bring money for beer and a fire extinguisher & frog repellent, hazmat suit and a Nerf gun loaded with holy water tipped bullets, should we be visited by any biblical plagues, chemical leaks or vampire attacks between now and then.

Given the biblical rain we had yesterday, with more to come, swamp conditions are guaranteed. I'm reccying a route tomorrow morning to see if canoes will be required

Swampier the better. I've got mud tyres to test 🙂

Well I'm in for this. Anything to get out of the house at half-term... 😀

Its still raining after the weekends biblical deluge. Apparently even the Tour de Reservoirs route is under a foot of water in places, so sod it, lets embrace the filth and do a comedy mud bath route, eh? 😀

Sorry looking unlikely for me. Probably gonna be stuck at work. Don't wait if I'm not there.

After consultation and reports of just how truly quagmire-esque the tops are, and forecast zero visibility, I think a Tour de Reservoirs is probably the best option.

See you in a bit

Somewhat unbelievably I've suffered a terminal mechanical. Broken front axle. Can't tighten it, can't get it out.

Shit.

At 8:15 can somebody round up the troops at the Hare and Hounds and head up to The Shoulder to meet up with Binners?

What a bloody nightmare! Have you tried a bigger hammer?

As Harry said if someone can herd the cats from the H&H to the Shoulder, I shall be waiting up there, then doing my usual leading from the rear...

The notched bit on the front Maxle has sheared. Can't tighten it, can't get it off. Shit.

New bits on order.

The old one needs to be extracted somehow without damaging the dropout.
