Motorway is up to 4 lanes and is flowing like "sh1t through a goose".

A new route! Intriguing, I'll do my best to drag myself off the sofa for this.

Parking is all street based so please be considerate.

If you head up the hill a hundred yards or so there was tons of space on the left by the building site last time.

I fancy trying the spin at altitude but I’m not sure I have a free night. Are you thinking of a Monday instead of MNPR?

Well not that new. A new start to something we've done before. Different ascent, same descent. Not Mordor BTW.

Lights on charge and chainset spinning freely. Barring some sort of disaster, I'll be there.

Forecast is for fog. Lights might not be that useful. It'll be good navigation practice though 😀

Afternoon All and Happy New Year, I am intending to make a return tonight after more than a year off. I don't recognise this pub, last time I went here with MNPR it was the Wine Press. Anyway, honest question, are there any slowcoaches going as I my concern holding up the group on those muddy ascents? Gavin (from Sale)

We dumped the Wine Press due to it having and a***hole for a manager. Red Lion is further down the road, at the junction where the Hollingworth Lake road meets the A58. Good to have you back. Don't worry about being slow, although be warned this is probably one of the hillier ones.

Happy New Year all

I'm hoping to make it tonight if I can get out of work on time

@gmurphy1975 I'm a slowcoach so you can keep me company at the back 😉

Cheers

Not joining you tonight chaps as being a self-employed layabout, laden down with even more pies and beer than usual, I've been out for a spin this afternoon 😀

Good to have you back Gav. We thought you'd been abducted by aliens. I'll be joining you to bring up the rear soon (though not next week, as I'm at the footy)

I'd wrap up warm tonight chaps. It was effing freezing out there this afternoon. It'll be Baltic up there tonight! Have a good'un! 😀

Cheers all. 11 people on a dark, cold, windy, foggy evening with ice on the ground was a pretty remarkable turnout considering many of the usual suspects were absent. There is hope for us yet.

Next week TBC. Feel free to propose something 🙂
