The White Hart

36 Padiham Rd, Sabden,

BB7 9EW

There is a car park opposite the pub.

Bring your own crisps as the pub shuts at 10:00pm.

For those who don’t know the local stories have a Google of The Pendle Witches.

Not me unfortunately. After a lovely ten days in't Lakes I'm now playing proper catch up on this whole 'work' thing. Have a good 'un! And a lovely photo of our last jaunt up there...

You'll love it chvck. The biggest hill in Lancashire and only 170ft off being an actual mountain. A 6km uninterrupted climb followed by a 6km uninterrupted descent.

If you get 10 minutes have a read up on the Pendle Witch Trials. It will add a bit "atmos" to proceedings.

Mrs Daz is on holiday in Spain, and she's left the kids at home so sadly I won't be attending. Back next week.

It’s a lovely ride but you might as well have a quick blast down witches broom and back up the cart track while your up there...?

Thanks for that everyone, the techy part of that climb was a struggle but worth it for the views and the ride back down. Also, thanks to everyone for helping me lug my lump of a bike over gates each week! Was going to go explore the peaks today but after the last 2 days I might just do a couple of loops of Prestwich park...

Gutted I missed it, looks like a great ride

Good to see the new 'stopping at trig points' rule being followed as well

Can you people post some pics? I'm from Clitheroe but living in NZ and would love to see some pics from a local ride. I used to ride Pendle frequently and still miss it.
