Church Inn, Prestwich.
M25 1AJ
8:15 Blast Off.
Bring money for beer.
Not me. On parenting duty. Back week after (mordor?).
I’m in with a couple of newbies. Bring your shovels
We can't bury them in prestwich ffs
I shall make the effort for a 'local' one.
We can’t bury them in prestwich ffs
Yeah you can, but you have to cut 'em up first.
I can’t miss it this one.
Busy days, but I'll do my best. Not been to the Prest 'hood for a while...
Probably not since the mad old man threw teapots at my car...
Im there!
Hopefully I'm in.
And surely Prestwich is the easiest of all MNPR venues to bury newbies. It starts and finishes by riding through a graveyard!
Seeing as the Pie fridge is now absent from the Church, we could always eat them?
Any Bolton Locals cycling there?
Ummmm, still hoping to get there but the charger for my lights seems to be playing up and keeps switching itself off. Fingers crossed I can get them charged.
I'm a maybe. I'll be cx'ing though.
Me and Mike still coming.

Ooh, bloody hell, lights! Thanks for the reminder!
I seem to have got the charger working eventually so as long as my house hasn't burned down when I get home I should be in
Still a maybe; mrs riklegge is working late tonight, if she's back in time I'll be there.
I'm planning on being there
The route:
Graveyard
Viaduct
Philips (both sides)
Hurst Woods
Drop through the woods to the Garden Centre
Stoneclough
Prestolee Road (not really a road) climb
Scout Camp
Railway (not really a railway)
Viaduct
Graveyard
Pub
Erm , not sure how to put this.....
The pub.
It's .....
Shut! 😭
How was the rest of it? Did you find a pub? Uneventful walk home for me, new chainring and bolts needed 🙂
Other than a puncture for binners' newbie mate all good.we ended up in the Red Lion up the road. It looks like monday night closures at the church are now a thing.
First proper bike ride in 2 months. Eyerything aches this morning :-/
The Red Lion was "interesting". Couldn't work out if the guy with Tourettes at the bar was actually trying to be intimidating or whether it was just the Tourettes. Apparently he *s *s.
This morning, I got asked by the site manager as I limped into the lift,
"Fallen off your bike?" "Again?" Appears I'm getting a reputation.
Does anyone know where the Prestwichenvironmental group is meeting instead? They always seemed glad to see us lot rock up covered in mud. Brown more than green, but still.....
Not a good night for the Hornby boys, 1 broken bike and 1 sore knee! Hope you both get fixed soon.
