Parkfield Inn, Whitefield. M45 7GT
7:15 Blast Off
Bring money for a covid compliant beer

From a personal perspective this will be a landmark for me. When MNPR began the late start time was to allow us to get our baby son to bed before I could quietly sneak out of the house. Tonight he’ll be on the ride!

Blimey, I didn't realise it had been going so long! Unfortunately the early start doesn't suit me so much, I'll have to make an effort to organise myself a bit better sometimes. 👍

That is wicked. Love it. 😃

What style (+length) of ride is it? Might be able to persuade my son along.

Only know the MNPR from the threads over the years, as I'm too far away, but that has brightened up my Monday morning

Yep. I would creep out of the house at 8:00pm for a blast round the woods with Terrahawk/Jason. It was on a Tuesday then.

We started a thread on here as a bit of an experiment/joke.

There was a group that used to meet in the pub called “Green Drinks” where like minded souls could drink beer and talk about environmental issues. They had a website with an agenda that ran to about 10 pages when printed out. We decided to start a thread with a time and a pub on it, and nothing else. On the first one we outnumbered the green drinkers by about 3:1.

As long as he doesn’t show us up. See you tonight.

Not too confident technically, but for flat out speed I can't keep up with him.

Cross country / singletrack / canals and some trail centre Reds. Ride will be about 25km/2 hours. Mine is 13, but he's a big strong unit.

It is a bit mad to think how long we've been doing this nonsense. The start time suited me with two really young kids. The eldest is now doing her A levels

Yep. MNPR has been going for almost as long as a set of Shimano DX pedals.
