What do you fancy?

Was there some talk of Ramsbottom?

If there wasn't I'll do one form Prestwich.

Its a proper quagmire at the moment up on't moors. Prestwich might be a better option

stick t'roads, stay of t'moors...

you can do do Buckden, thats running really well atm! pootle up the vale, come back up robin hoods, along the bridleway to the tower and do a few chutes off the front? all pretty weather proof...

We could do a Tour de Reservoirs?

Righty ho....

Hare and Hounds, 400 Bolton Rd W, Ramsbottom, Bury BL0 9RY

8.15 blast off.

Usual rules about me not riding down the hill, just to ride back up it again apply

I'd do an illustration, but the god only knows how you post Flickr images on here nowadays

Tour de Res sounds ideal.

Looking at the forecast for the weekend and Monday it looks like we might be able to do a re-run of Decembers rather fun Snowmageddon ride 😀

Hope it’s still snowy. Looking forward to another round of Snowmaggedon. Just completed a mini service ready for a snow and ressies ride tomorrow.

I used pretty much all of my kit at Kielder at the weekend (which is still in a binbag), my bikes are trashed, I've got the cold/flu bug from hell, and I'm sick to death of riding in the snow. I'll see what I can do 🙂

Main problem is going to be getting the car down my hill.

Somewhat predictably the Rake is closed to cars (still ride-upable though) but the main roads are all fine. We had plenty of snow overnight, and we've had more this morning, and more forecast this afternoon.

I'm going to have a walk up to the tower in a bit to check it out. If I can fathom out how to actually post some pictures up, I will. I'm sure it'll be a laugh tonight though. Hopefully we won't have the ice skating element of the last Snowmageddon ride

I'm in... and there's no way that I can back out because I'm giving Ed a lift!

See you there.

Doubt I'm gonna make it. Just got on a train back from London. If I'm not there don't wait. I'd only infect you with whatever virus from hell I've currently got and bore you with stories of kielder horrific-ness.

Looking at the pictures of kielder horrific-ness I can't believe you were even contemplating it. I think you should be huddled by a fire mainlining whiskey.

Best wrap up tonight folks. Just been out and the wind is pretty raw up on the tops

Good fun last night folks! If a tad hard going. I think that even by our standards we hit a new personal best of the least distance covered by an MNPR in a given timescale. But we definitely won at the pushing the pensioners car off an icy car park competition. I believe they're adding that event to the Worlds Strongest Man this year 😀

Love Stevens shots from the Bull Hill Trig Point

Top ride last night chaps. It has restored my faith in riding push bikes.

Highlights:

1. Having a casual chat with Binners about work as we pushed our bikes through 8” snow, in the dark, in a gale, up a hill. Like it was a perfectly normal thing to do.

2. Ed going OTB in the snow covered bog.

3. The young lad (can’t remember his name) and his response to the question about Bull Hill.

“Shall we go up this?”

“No.”

I aim to please !!! somehow managed to take my glove off before plunging my hand into the slop and the glove ended up on the end of the bar, quite how I haven't a clue.

very good fun, we got to 10.2km and it took well over an hour and a half...
