It's a novel idea, but this Monday's MNPR will be in the daytime!

The Clarence - 180 Chew Valley Rd, Greenfield, Oldham OL3 7DD

11am

Bring money for beer, legs prepared for climbing and an expectation of adventure. We'll be taking in what I reckon could be the best bit of singletrack within 20 miles of Manchester. Getting to it however involves a massive climb, a treacherous traverse, and a yomp across a bog. Ride time of around 4 hours I reckon. Knee pads might be an idea too if you're accident prone.

Don't bother with lights 🙂

Much as I love you all, I love beer more. So given the question: Would you like to spend Bank Holiday Monday Afternoon:

A) Drinking beer at a beer festival within walking distance of home?

or

B) Asking myself for the 6th time in an hour why Daz hates me so much that he's trying to kill me?

Have a good's folks!

Not sure what the parking situation is at the pub so be creative. Might be best to park on the street so we don’t annoy them.

If I'd seen this sooner than I'd have tagged along. "best bit of singletrack within 20 miles of Manchester" would have been a good introduction!

1 Chew Valley mile = 2 in the rest of world. Kind of like a Chew Valley climbing technical grade. That odd combination of West Riding and Greater Manchester has created an alternate reality - that's what the mystery dead bloke was trying to fathom out...

Absolute belter of a ride, cheers lads! My forearms are a hilarious shade of pink now, but apart from that I think I got off quite lightly.
