I'm just off out now to check how squidgy Intersteller and Redisher Woods are, and a couple of other likely routes

The sacrifices I make for you lot 😀

All we need now is hora!

I'm not sure Kai has an mtb at present ? Saying that I've seen him riding similar terrain on his cross bike recently and he'll still be quicker downhill than the majority of us ...

As for Craig.. he's a runner these days..

I've just realised that I described Craig as runner when what I meant to say was he's a ****

CONDITIONS REPORT: After an afternoons sacrifice reccying trails (poor me) ..... It's not good. I'd love to say that interstellar was dry and dusty and its all great.

It's not.

It's really hard going out on't moors. In fact, a lot of it that I thought would have dried out a bit is still a proper swamp. Wheel-sucking clagg! I was glad I'd kept my winter boots on. But apparently we have a few days of sunshine to come, so you never know.

Anyway..... I've got an out an out dossing-about route sorted. There will be hardpack and lots and lots of big pointy rocks

The graphic seemed appropriate. RIP R Lee Ermey

Me n Tony are most likely going to be there as well.

Binners - what are your thoughts on a route? If you are heading towards Edgworth around the horseshoe then we will ride over and then bail out at some stage over that way. If you are finishing in reddisher or over that way then we will drive up.

WW - i’m Going to do a very up and down route around Holcombe Hill so it’ll all actually be crammed in to a pretty tight area, but getting in 4 good descents including Interstellar

I think a few of you will have done something similar with me before. If I remember rightly, it’s claimed a few casualties too 🙂

A cross bike definitely isn’t the weapon of choice for tonight. Suspension will most definitely be your friend. I’mhoping I can eek out the bottom bracket on the Trigger tonight. It’s making some horrible noises, after a play at Lee Quarry on Saturday, but I want bouncy front and back  🙂

I don't have a very good track record on those effin chutes binners  as you well know. And that was when I had a bouncy rear end...

We will be enjoying commanding views of the mist and rain. We’re only doing the lesser of the homocidal chutes as I know the lower one has bitten quite a few people

We could do a tour de reservoirs if you prefer. I may waive my usual dictatorial style, embrace democracy and allow a vote

...... or then again i might have you all shot for your insubordination

i’ll mull over both options

Ironically Facebook reminded me the other day that it's two years since my brace came off my knee following the last excursion down the chutes of death...

I'd rather do the horse shoe TBH. Broken limbs are soooo 2016.

Righty ho then you mutinous dogs, the horseshoe it is then. I may make some of you insurectionists walk the plank into Jumbles reservoir later though

it means I can take the hardtail and not risk the disintegrating bottom bracket on the bouncy bike. The moorland filth has killed it!

Cracking run that tonight chaps. And definitely the right call on the route choice over the chutes of brokenness and damnation

Good to see a few of the MNPR ‘originals’ out
