I need a 27.5 fork for an Orange Crush and know someone with a Helm for sale with various springs from standard to supersoft.
He has struggled to get it to work for his weight (65kg). I'm around 80kg, whats the chances of it working for me?
I understand that they were overdamped and I've also read that the bladder can go pop.
Opinions please.
Hello, I bought one secondhand last year and have ridden it quite a lot.
I'm about 80kg kitted up and the damping works well. Anyone lighter might find it too harsh.
The coil plushness is balanced by the firm damper, IYKWIM.
I read one review about the damper blowing, is that what you mean?
Just sending mien for service because I think the damper has gone, but then it was a used buy so that's OK.
Thank you, that sounds promising.
I've read that there was an updated bladder that is more reliable than the original one. Presuambly they'll be fitting that for you.
If you have a source for the bladder info that'd be handy? I could ask about it.
It's just booked for a full service and I don't think a bladder would normally be a service part.
I've not looked inside anyway, I just noticed it's topping out and losing damping the last couple of rides.
I was in this thread. Newer one has a H on it apparently.
It seems that they changed the seal and made the bladder a bit tougher from what I can understand.
The other theme I picked up was that they don't always work as well at 170mm
Is the travel easily adjustable?

OK cheers.
Yeah travel change is easy, basically a lowers service and move a spacer thingy.
I forgot to ask, which spring are you running?
