I've got 2 different sets of (budget) lights that both have very slightly different rated battery chargers. Can there be any issues with mixing the chargers between the two? One is rated at 9V/900mA and the other is 8.4V/1000mA.

I'm inclined to assume that it makes no difference, but I wouldn't want to be shortening my battery life unnecessarily; or adding to the (already reputedly significant) fire risks of cheap chinese lights!

8.4v is the max for 2 series LI ION`s so I wouldnt use the 9 volt for 8.4 battery packs
thought if its a good design it will have an overcharge protection circuit built in .

dont put on charge and then go to bed

couldn't have put it better MrT.

don't mix and match chargers on batteries that they aren't designed for.
