Currently running a maxxis aggressor up front and an ardent rear, the ardent doesn't give me that much confidence when cornering at speed and drifts like hell and very unpredictable.
Ive used the rock razor all last summer and found it grippy and very fast rolling more so in dry condition but how does the Minion SS compare with the rock razor ?
I haven't used the Rock Razor but the obvious differences between it and the Minion SS are that the latter is a lot more square so you don't need to lean as far to engage the side knobs, and the side knobs are wider spaced so it'll drift more predictably (although ultimate cornering limit may be lower). I really like the Minion SS, it's proven more versatile than I expected.
Aggressor up front here too and have run it with an SS on the back.
Really liked the combo and the SS worked very well. Only weakness was on straight line braking where the bike is vertical, bit of lean into the side knobs solved that. Climbing traction was surprisingly good in the damp too.
Also tried one on the front and was suitably impressed there too. Same weakness though, obvs..

I've got the minion SS on the back of mine, coming from a DHR2 all last winter, grip wise and everything it is great. However I don't really feel that it offers any noticeable difference in speed/rolling resistance over the DHR2 that I used.
Weirdly, Maxxis Catalogue rates the DHR2 as a 3 for Rolling, with the SS 4 and the Aggressor 2

seems good, but will need more time to really get a feel for it.

I'm running a Minion SS rear and really, really like it. It's quick, grips well and corners well. I think it's noticeably faster than the DHR II I use for winter.
I prefer is to the Rock Razor which I had a real love / hate relationship with - some rides it was ace, others it was awful.
Cheers Guys again for the input, I do like the rock razor but it must be my OCD thing where I need to fit a minion ss as I'm now running an aggressor up front.

Good combo for the wet/rock/root tracks here.

Minion SS keeps surprising me, keep taking it places it shouldn't work and it's fine
Minnion ss on the rear high roller2 on the front found it it to be very versatile in most conditions so far, thought it might have struggled round Ard Rock enduro with the loose shale & rocks but was absolutely fine. Not tried it in gloopy stuff yet but guess that won't be far away as it's nearly September, but would definitely recommend it!!
